From Our Home To Yours: Our Favourite Customer Instagram Projects

We love it when our customers share their interior design projects with us.

As your one-stop shop for all things tiles and tiling accessories, at Tiles Direct, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality floor and wall tiles for interior styles and needs galore. But more often than not, our involvement in your renovation project starts and ends there.

We think it’s time that changed.

So, this month, we’ve been keeping one eye on our Instagram notifications, collecting some of our favourite posts our customers have shared featuring our tiles as the star of the show. Without further ado, let’s take a look at just some of the ways customers have used our products to pull off a whole host of design visions in a variety of settings. With any luck, these will give you some welcome interior tips and inspiration along the way!

@No73bythesea’s harmonious hallway

As a thoroughfare in many modern homes, hallways often cry out for TLC – and this customer has certainly delivered.

Opting for our Terrades Grafito floor tiles from Vives, we’ve no doubt this hard-wearing, practical ceramic will withstand regular footfall in this hallway, while offering protection against scratching and permanent marks.

Championing a retro fusion aesthetic, this customer has combined the unique impact of our black and white geometric tiles with a 70s-inspired art deco colour palette. The result? They’ve transformed a typically practical space into a striking interior focal point, without sacrificing the functionality of the space – a real win-win.

While our new little furry friend isn’t a typical feature of this interior style, we certainly encourage your canine companions to get in on the DIY whenever possible!

@Wiltshirewonderland’s festive fireplace

While we certainly can’t take credit for those beautifully decorated festive features, we’re thrilled to see our Hexagon Buckingham Green Matt Mosaic Tiles take pride of place around this customer’s fireplace.

As expertly demonstrated in this post, showing your fireplace a little love can go a long way in breathing new life into any living room – creating a dramatic feature that demands attention.

Drawing inspiration from this customer, tiling your fireplace can make a big impact in a small space. To do so, use either a dynamic colour or shape (or, in this instance, why not opt for both?), decorating both the hearth and setting of your fireplace for a harmonious yet striking look.

Don’t overlook the practicalities when tiling your fireplace, though. While this customer’s fireplace isn’t in use, their choice of a porcelain matt tile offers the functionality required for fireplaces in everyday use – whether gas, electric or wood.

@Insidesunstone’s stunning splashback

Our next pick is this customer’s gorgeous kitchen – we’re feeling cosier just looking at this post!

Utilising our Devon White Wall Tiles for their kitchen splashback, this customer has embraced the uniquely textured finish of these white tiles to master a traditional kitchen aesthetic that oozes that homely cottage feel.

Extending this interior theme further with white walls and touches of wood throughout, this interior is rustic chic all over. This kitchen is then brought into the 21st century through the choice of contemporary appliances in a contrasting black – with our Devon splashback tiles tying this stunning interior together.

Not forgetting the practical elements, this customer’s choice of a ceramic gloss tile for a splashback boasts plenty of functional benefits, including low maintenance, durability and moisture resistance. What more could you ask for?
